Welcome to my 2017 AIDS Walk Central Ohio personal fundraising page!
On Saturday, April 15, I am walking in honor of Kaleidoscope Youth Center! Please consider donating to my Fundraising effort! Any size gift is welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thanks for visiting my 2017 Dr. Robert J. Fass Memorial AIDS Walk Central Ohio personal page. I'm excited to be able to support an effort that does such critical work in our community.
Columbus has the highest rate of HIV in Ohio, and the 25th highest in the nation. Already, nearly 3,200 HIV-positive individuals are known to be living in Columbus, and another 600 are estimated to be infected, but not yet diagnosed. Based on health department data, it is estimated that every 25 hours someone in Central Ohio is newly-infected with HIV.
The participating AIDS service organizations that benefit from the AIDS Walk are at the forefront of providing services to meet the needs of HIV positive individuals in central Ohio. They provide critical support to the Ohio community through medical care, pharmacy services, comprehensive case management, mental health therapy, housing, prevention, testing, advocacy and support services. Won't you join us in the fight against this disease?
