July 25th will mark 25 years since my brother Bill died. Bill had AIDS.
When my family found out that Bill had AIDS we didn’t know what to do. He was living in Maine and he was in terrible shape. We needed to get him home to Toledo, he was undergoing treatment for cancer and his legs were burned so he couldn’t bend them which meant we couldn’t fly him commercial. We were lucky enough to get connected with David’s House of Compassion, an AIDS service program in Toledo. They found a pilot willing to fly his plane to get Bill and bring him home to Toledo. My family will forever be thankful for what David’s House did for Bill. David’s House is now part of Equitas Health. I will always walk, I will always raise money, and I will always support those fighting HIV/AIDS.
Your contribution to AIDS Walk Ohio would mean a lot to me and even more to those living with HIV in Ohio. My goal is to raise at least $2,500. Please donate, join my team and walk with me, or start a team of your own. I hope to see you on April 13th!
Until there is a cure, I will do my part.
Thank you for helping me help those fighting!
